There once was a boy...
He lifted his head over the hill, and found himself in the midst of chaos, with shots firing at hi speeds all around him. How he got there he had no idea. In fact he had no idea who he was, what he was, or where he had been before hand. Everything he knew of was in the present, firing at him from behind massive cement bunkers. The air was thicker than the mud he walked on. Suddenly there was a cease fire, and the smoke began to settle. And as the world slowed down, and stopped spinning, the boy noticed that young men of all shapes and sizes lie about him. Some living and some dead, they all wore grey uniforms with small red emblems of flaming bulldogs on the shoulder. Many of these men sported a black beret with the same red emblem on the front. Others had metallic, silver bars on their lappelle. But all of these men wore with them a face of utter fear. A face so grimm that it was hard to tell the difference between the living and the dead. Our subject began to open his mouth, but no words came out. One of the soldiers made a hand motion that seemed to signal not to speak. And then, footsteps. Slow, solid footsteps like that of a nightmare demon. The young man looked down at his uniform; "BARLETTA" was emroidered over his left breast pocket. "Am I this man? A soldier?" he thought to himself. Quickly spinning around he observed his surroundings. In one direction was a tall tower of steel and concrete, in the othe a brown and grey sky, filled with debris. At that moment, the footsteps stopped. A head poked over the hill, and shouted at them in some strange language unkown to our subject. "Sir, Sir he wants us to surrender." said one of the men in the bunker. "Whats our procedure?" another asked. He looked at the top of the hill, towards the enemy, who wore some breed of ugly, and sharp camoflaged clothing. It now became apperent that these young men were all asking this man with no memory what to do, and that HE was "Sir". "Barletta Sir, he said he was going to shoot us all unless we surrender immediatly." Then there was a gunshot of an upper calibur, and the man in camoflage fell to the ground, the impact causing his body to smolder. Barletta felt completely shocked when the enemy began to smoke and spark, for he thought that he had been human. The firefight resumed, and Barletta felt a pain in his side. Then all went dark.
